Unifiller's global reach based on down home values and teamwork
Fun and food were the order of the day as the staff of Unifiller in Delta’s Tilbury Industrial Park welcomed 22 members of Delta’s Chamber of Commerce for an “Up Close and Personal” tour and luncheon at the facility.
Unifiller employs 77 people and is a worldwide distributor of cake production systems for the Baking and Food Production Industry. Recent changes to the organization have dramatically improved productivity in less than a year. The company is committed to fostering a progressive corporate philosophy that is Family-centric and Fun – as is observed in the lunchtime staff volleyball games!
“I think it went really well!” said General Manager Mark Soares. “There was an impressive and diverse group of people here today. We got some excellent comments from the members – we really do learn from the feedback.”
Event participants agreed with Mark's assessment at 96% customer satisfaction rating. Included among visitors' comments were: "I did not realize such a world class facility was here in Delta. Excellent." and "What an excellent company." and "Loved it." and "Inspiration of a progressive, local company taking care of its people." and "The values, culture and new systems were as informative as the tour of the facility." and "The opportunity to network with members in a small group is excellent."
